Your rehabilitation and recovery can be influenced by the environment in which you rehab.  Roberts Physical and Aquatic Therapy provides patients with a unique atmosphere for building you back to pain-free strength and mobility.

Our state-of-the-art facility is conveniently located in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, in a central shoreline location. With modern equipment in a newly renovated space that promotes full body wellness and rehabilitation, we can treat back, neck, shoulder, arm, hand, wrist, leg, hip, knee, post-surgical, injured workers, and accidents.

Roberts Physical and Aquatic Therapy has shower facilities on-site.  If you will be participating in pool therapy, bring bathing suit, towel and toiletries to shower here.

Pool / Aquatic Therapy  

Our aquatic therapy pool gives patients an alternative to traditional physical therapy that can minimize the joint stress, swelling and pain often associated with rehabilitation.  Heated at 90 degrees, the aquatic therapy pool includes an underwater treadmill and is ideally suited for many rehabilitation exercises.

The HydroWorx 500

Roberts Physical and Aquatic Therapy houses a HydroWorx 500 rehabilitation pool.  The pool's high performance features represent the cooperative efforts of clinicians, engineers and visionaries.  This revolutionary piece of therapeutic equipment features an integrated treadmill and resistance jets.

Features of the HydroWorx 500 include:

• An integrated variable speed treadmill that smoothly increases from 0 to 7.5 mph in safe .2 mph increments
• Directional resistance jets enhance therapy, swimming and deep tissue massage.  The jets have almost 200 different water speeds
• A controllable water current provides proper amount of assistance or resistance to each patient's needs
• Removable grab bars support and enhance exercise comfort and security
• Pool is adequately sized to allow patients room to move (dimensions:  14' x 7'6"  l  water depths:  3'2" to 4'8")
• Variable water depths and work stations allow for deep-water treatment
